HV power cables

A high-voltage cable is used for electric power transmission at high voltage. High-voltage cables of differing types have a variety of applications in instruments, ignition systems, AC and DC power transmission. In all applications, the insulation of the cable must not deteriorate due to the high-voltage stress, ozone produced by electric discharges in air, or tracking. The cable system must prevent contact of the high-voltage conductor with other objects or persons, and must contain and control leakage current.
 
Installs SIA offers high- and extra-high-voltage cables and systems for power transmission directly from power plant sites to primary distribution networks. We can supply high-voltage cables up to 550 kV worldwide with extra large conductor cross-sections.

For the highest voltages: XLPE Cable Technology. For energy transmission in the high and extra-high voltage range, XLPE insulated cables have prevailed, and we both manufacture and test these cables for rated voltages from 50 kV to 550 kV.
